QUAL EH CAMARADAS!!  It is nice to see how good the school gets as soon as we go.   We even have a very decent web-page.  Hello class of '98.  I hope everything is going great in all the corners of the earth were we have gone.  Now I am in Spain but a bit of me is still in Rio (my wallet, my watch, and video cam). . . .   I saw that on a t-shirt.  Anyway right now, here in Spain they call me the BRAZILIAN!!!  OK señores and señoritas, nice work with the web-page again, and glad to see that you are still there working hard.  From MADRID (SPAIN) ..... Attention all EARJ Class of 85 alumni.  I am in the final stages of getting our web page together.  I know I keep saying this but I redid the whole site and it took much longer than expected.  If you have not contacted me please send me an e-mail so we can list your information.  Will send a message with the URL once the page is up sometime in April 99!

This is a note from Kim Russell, '61.  I haven't heard about any class reunions for classes in my era ('59 - '62).  If anyone knows of anything happening with "our group" please put it on the net...or at least let me know!  And I'd like hearing from any of my classmates.  Thanks to all who have conceived and created this web site.  It helps bring back all of the great 'saudades do Brasil'!!! Fantastic!  Why didn't I visit You earlier?  Does anyone remember two Peters From...Poland?  Clas of 1980?  Well, I did not graduate from EA, but years 1973-77 were... (I have no words to describe it).  I found only two familiar names: Chris Clarke, Sabrina Rozanes.  Does anyone remember Carlos Cabana, Curt Gardner, Robert Koch, Gerardo Bartolome, Roberto Miles, Bengt Nystrom, Tsuioshi, Neil, Robert from Holland, and of course girls and boys from Brazil?  Class of 1980 - are you sleeping?   Will anyone contact me?  What about our anniversary in 2000?  Wake up!!   Peter "I love whisky"

The Class of '81 website has grown to a listing of 57 former classmates.  Some of the classmates listed have not had contact with others in over 20 years!!!  It has been a great thrill to reconnect with past friends.  The purpose of this guestbook entry is to put a call out to ANY of you from ANY class that may have ANY information on Class of '81ers.  I have received sketchy info from some and have been able to turn that into locating some former classmates.  ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Need help getting to the next reunion, or back to Rio?  Need a condo anywhere for 7 nights/8 days, up to two weeks at $595.00 per week?  Marina Palace condo in Leblon for a week?  Air travel separate.  Trying to get to Orlando, Fredericksburg, Club Med Rio?  It's all subject to availability, particularly peak travel seasons.   Send Debbie an email and see if she can't give you the deal that'll make it finally possible to ". . . Roll down to Rio. . ." Seriously, we want to make it possible for old EA friends to get back to EA.  Check out her new web site, still under construction, but fully operational.

Hello Class of '89, I just found this fantastic site, and had to find the Class of '89 straight away - but where are you?  Remember Sif, the Danish girl, I attended EA from 83-85?  I am now living in Copenhagen, Denmark.  I am visiting Rio in December 1999, and hoping to catch up with some of you.  So let me know where to hang out!

Hello everyone... I'm part of the latest batch of EARJ Alumni: CLASS OF '98!
I'm just posting this message to say I get "goosepimples" knowing this e-group exists. (Sarcastic example of how our headmaster Mr. Klumpp would've expressed his feelings). I hope this space will be used for keeping many alumnis in touch (which ICQ is working hard on), and that one day I'll be able to place the announcements of my 10 year reunion in a place similar to this one.
Marco A Beczkowski
P.S. - Sue Strickland: are you in any way related to Ann Strickland and her daughter Luiza Strickland Faro? She's a really good friend of mine here in London and both of them studied at EA so... e-mail me if you are.

Hi there to all those who remember me.  I was in Rio from '76 to '79 and I would have been the Class of '81.  I found out about this site from another ex-EA person, Tracey Snodgrass.  I now live in the middle east (Dubai) with my husband and two kids.  I would love to hear from anyone who knows me.  Love this site and will definitely visit it again.

I'm glad I found a useful web page that can keep me up to date with future events.  I look forward to hearing from any of my '79 class mates.  I now live in Baltimore, and would like to meet up with those of you in the area.

I attended EA in 84 & 85, I am an alumni from the CLASS of 87.  There I made many friends, but regretfully I have lost touch with all.  A business associate is an alumni from the '60s and told me about this site.  It is fabulous. What an great idea.  Due to this web site I have been able to locate several people that I have fond memories of, but there are many more out there I would enjoy getting in touch with.   I am looking for Aylin Berker CLASS of 85, Diana of 84 and Tammy Fiqueiredo of 87, Lisa Giddings of 84, Allison Marek of 87, Lisa Castaneda of 86, Claudia Pinherio of 85, Danielle Geyger of 85.  WHERE ARE THE SMASHED GRAPES??????????????????????????   I would love to hear from you.  Again, I would like to express my compliments & thanks for making this possible. GOOD JOB!  Richelle McReynolds CLASS of 87, Houston, TX.

After looking at the 1956 class picture I found my first love, Darrell Lee! He is the one to the far right hand side with the blonde hair. He came to the states to see me after graduation and my interests were elsewhere. We did have dinner and and talked over good times in Rio. I heard that he went into the Army and I never heard from again. I will look in my photos for his picture and will send them when they are found. Diana Willey Ledger

It's been a great year for me with my new hobby and 1999 promises more of the same. Sent out some email requests for yearbooks before vacation and got offers for three I haven't seen - even one for the unprinted '73 version. I've had several people tell me the '85 book never got published but '73 was an unknown. We'll see. Also Cheryl Effefson is in Rio contacting several people who have offered books. There is a possibility of me being overcome by yearbooks. Here's a bit of yearbook trivia I picked up from Sheila O'Day: the '55 Carioca was the first printed yearbook- prior years were exposed Kodak film pages. Printing on one side only and bound between hardboard covers with brass screw fasteners. Another trivia piece: I reviewed 29 of 59 possible Cariocas! All for now, Walt

I was at EA from kindergarten all the way through to 9th and then (couldn't resist) came back for the end of my junior year... After that, kept finding myself moving back to Rio after being somewhere else.... Guess it is in my soul! Just wanted to say "hi" and touch base, would love to hear some news from class of 80! All the best, Wendy

Hello All I graduated in from OLM in 1965 but spent K through 7 @EA and would enjoy hearing from members of the class. After graduation I went to Columbia-NYC and lived in the City till '83 when I moved to Cambridge MA. I work at MIT's office of Corporate Relations managing relationships between MIT and firms with interests in and concerns about issues MIT is involved in and researching. Prior to the educational arena, I was involved for 15 years in the health care world in NYC and up here. Prior to that worked for the City of New York with youth gangs and then senior citizens and in-between a major stint in a French kitchen as a cook. I have a 13 yo daughter – Tallulah and a 8 yo son - William. My wife, Helene Quinn, is a geriatric care manager. We are in essence happily ensconced in the People's Republic of Cambridge - 2 jobs, 2 kids and tired at the end of the day. If any of you are in (now or travelling to) the greater Boston area, please connect as lembranças and saudades would be! Wonderful. Regards! Tony
