GEE AIN'T THIS A SURPRISE?  I TERRORISED THAT SCHOOL FOR SO MANY WONDERFUL YEARS. THEN THEY BOOTED ME OUT.

I just found the EA web site and think its great. I and my six brothers and sisters went to EA during the years 1970-1975. Mimi graduated in 72, Kaki in 73, Tom in 74, Dan in 75 and then the family moved to Brasilia and then on to Santo Domingo, DR, Wash DC, Cairo, Egypt, Kingston, Jamaica. Everyone is in the US, married with children. They all have E-mail addresses so I'll tell them to log on. Love to hear from anyone from those years.

Hi - I attended EA in 1978-79 and would have graduated in 1980. I have carried very fond memories of this school and the people in it. It was truly a memorable experience. I am glad that we now have a vehicle to get in touch with the people that meant so much to us although I am disappointed in the class of 1980. There aren't too many entries in our class. I have tried to find Geneveve Compton over the years so if any knows where she is, I would be grateful for the info. I would love to help out with the reunion in any way that I can. Let me know how I can help Amy! With fondest memories, Carla Barron Malcolm '80

Hopefully this time I have figured this out. I graduated from E.A in '80 and am looking forward to a 20th reunion in the year 2000. I am willing to head up the planning for it but would love some help. Anyone and everyone interested please be in touch. You have my most updated e-mail address. Thanks Bruce for this means of communication. I hope it will do the trick!

Eureka!!! I did it! To listen the EA School Song, go to http://www.stirlinglaw.com/ea/song.htm and then click on either, "school song" at the top of the page, or "click HERE."  Then sing along with the words on the page in front of you! If you have problems with the quality (I kept it very high), let me know. Maybe I can put up a couple of takes for different modem speeds. Give me some feedback, gente!  P.S.  This is the EA Reunion in Phoenix last year singing away!

The typical Escola Americana love story in the "saudade" thread bears a strong correspondence to my experience at EA before leaving in Dec. 53.  I won't mention a name (protect the innocent, you know).  I had a rough time back in the states until I was able to start college, take Brazilian history, access to a good library, etc.  I took today off to go over the EA web and site.  It's 6:30 pm CST, and I'm on a real plateau at the moment.  Thanks Bruce and to all the other EA people who have contributed to this worthy tribute to EA.  I peck these messages out, sem revisao, excuse the spelling please.

HEY YA'LL!!! LOL I am sooo excited that I have found this site....I would've graduated with the class of '77, but due to my father's untimely death(is death ever timely?) we had to leave in '73. Been searching for quite a few years now for "Buck" Smith...I miss him terribly. Anyway, to those of you who want to know...I have four (WOW) wonderful children now, two girls and two boys, ages 19, 16, 14 and 10. Life has been betty, betty good to me!! To those of you who know me and can appreciate my sense of humor...drop me a line!! Can't wait to hear from my long, lost familia!!

OK, so I'm pretty gripless. I just now (thanks to my sister, Michelle, and Cathy Cagle--class of 81) found out about this website. They're all giddy because they're finding so many friends, but I'm despondent that not too many people from what would've been the class of 79 are on the list! WE SHALL CHANGE THAT! I've already e-mailed Cindy Onoroto, but am also looking for the following people (any help will be appreciated): Sue Bastan, Lynn Notarainni, Pam Rothaus, Peter Malcolmson, Jesse Kauffman, Logan Galvao, Carlos C., Mike H., Mike Ryan Come on, you know who we all hung out with! I'm here in DC and would LOVE to see anyone in the NE corridor!! Also, since I'm new to this list, and am being a spaz about navigating it, can anyone tell me (succinctly) when and where the next reunion is?

This EA alumni page really knocks me out. Tony Motley visited me in Florida in the 60s; and I saw Richard Liu, Alex Benaroyo, and Lee Canha in Rio in 68. I haven't been back to Rio in those 30 years, alas. But I studies there in 63-64 at the Fundacao Getulio Vargas: again in contact with Richard and Alex; Lee was in the States in the Army, but I talked to his Mom, and visited the school. I dream of Rio; have published some poetry about events, times, images of RJ. more later. I'd like to hear from class of '55 and '56. Graduated from high school in Hampton, VA in 55; the place was a pit. After Rio in 63 Army 66; spent lots of time in Central America; then back to Kansas (home). Abracos!

I lived in Rio 1976-1978 as a "EA want to be", but I had to go to "the British School". Does anyone down in Rio know if it still exists, or has their address. I'd like to get some alumni info, but I have no records, or any information. I had a few EA friends through girl guides and Sports clubs, but I haven't been able to get through to your alumni list yet. If anyone has information, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Susan

This just in from Sabrina Rozanes, little sister of Avi Rozanes, class of '70. The webpage just keeps reeling them in! Sabrina emailed saying she was in the class of '80. I wrote back and asked if she was related to an "Avi" Rozanes, who was in my class. This is what she wrote:

Hello Bruce!
Avi is my brother he was from the class of '70. He is living in Venezuela and he is going to move to Florida in July. He is married and has two daughters, one is 24 years old and the other one is 20. I will call him to tell about you I ' m sure he will be very glad to know about old friends. Anyway thank you for answering me and please keep in touch. Where is Ms Collares right now?
Hope hearing from you soon. Abracos, Sabrina

It was getting dark in Florida, and these came off my video camera, so sorry that some of them are grainy. It couldn't be helped. Bruce Stirling

I will be in Phoenix the weekend of February 27. Visiting my in laws (is that two words or one?). Are there any Brazilian Restaurants? I'll give you a call while I'm there.

I don't have any snakes right now. My ten year old (Danny) has a hermit crab, we have fish and a pair of very strange cats.

Thanks for all your work on the EA page. I enjoyed seeing pictures of my eight grade classmates all grown up. The only EA person I am in contact with is Lin Chao. My two sisters don't count, do they?
