Oi gênte! Thank you for visiting and helping us matar saudades. "A turma toda" would love it if you would Write A Few Words to our guestbook!  You may need to hit your "reload" button to see your message appear.  "Depois que tu partiste tudo aqui ficou tao triste . . ."  Welcome back.  It's good to hear from you again.   Remember when you promised to write?  Now is your chance.

I now moderate the EA Alumni Email List.  Due to our own version of "furia nas ruas," all but five (5) members were removed from the list.  Please note, there are new policies in effect.   All messages to the EA Email List (not this Guestbook or any other page) are published.   REPLIES to messages go ONLY to the person who posted the original message.   If you want to be on the EA Email List, go to Alumni Registration and register yourself. I do not control who registers. Please register yourselves. Thanks.

Wow!  It's been along time.  Graduated in '68 and left soon after.   Would love to hear from old friends.  My sister Cheryl and brothers Dave and Paul are still around too.   We are all E.A. alumni.   Keep in touch, Sharon

[Good address, Sharon. I remember your family, especially Dave speeding down Visconde de Albuquerque in that Chevrolet Nova, or whatever it was]

Though I'm not an alumnus, I did have some friends who went to EA.  I was a Marine guard at the consulate,'86-'87.  I often return to Rio to visit my in-laws.   This is a very nice site!  Tchau...

I enjoy reading the daily updates through EA's egroups list.  However, I've been unable to submit anything -- it's always "too busy."  I recently reconnected with Donald Seeley ,76, but lost Terry Clarke's new address (my hard drive died) and Terry Musto is no longer working at ADOBE.  If anybody knows their new addresses, please let me know.  I'm also interested in finding out more about the "Barulho Brasileiro" group.  Is this an EA only group? For the record: the EA in Gavea is great, but I still prefer the good ol' EA in Leblon.  It was much cozier and everyone got to know each other.  As an underclassman (3rd, 4th, 5th grade) I liked collecting the election buttons from the upperclassmen running for office.   The County Fairs in Leblon were also much better than Gavea.  Um abraco to the EA community, Patrick Richoux

It's 'ol "Precisco Presunto" here . . . now living and working in California for a company that processes data for the horse racing and sports industries . . . I'd love to return to Rio and EA for "sempre" . . . I've been back numerous times in the past 10 years, often bringing my basketball/and/or baseball teams to Brazil to play against EA teams . . . and often against the "selacao" (Baseball) in Sao Paulo . . . yep . . . there is indeed a "Selacao Brasileiro" in baseball . . .  all of Brazilian/Japaneese heritage!  Um abracao!  Rick Needham

Hello again! I just had to write in to tell the class of '79 (and those that love us) that the idea of a chat time for us is being discussed again.  Please let me know your thoughts and times on this.  I also want to say that David class of '69 has invited us to their reunion which will be in Florida this summer.  I love to hear from all of the Panthers - EA is the greatest!  Abracos e beijos-Ruthie '79

Clearly, Rick (below) was a whole lot older than I figured, if he was in Rio from 1899 to 1971 :-)

I was made aware of the website by my classmate, Ruth Judd, and then got the specific address from paul scott ('81?). If you would like to place any news of my dad on the website, perhaps the following will help: Desmond and Charity Cole 2243 Cranford Rd. Durham, NC 27706 I'm not sure he would want me to put his phone number. I'll ask him about that. Anyway, Des is retired but still in good health and going strong at age 74. This website is a terrific idea. I'm going to try to be a more active alum, as EA was among the best things that ever happened to me. Thanks for your help. Peter

I attended third and fourth grades at EA from 1963 to 1965, and if I had stayed, I would have been in the class of 1974. I would be interested in sharing any memories with anyone from those years. I thought that the school song was "Hooray for EA."
