Subject: Moderator's Message re: Wanted Posts and
Offers
It is time to remind everyone about the "Wanted" post
rules. This message
was sent to all 10,000 plus members. You were not singled out!
Freecycle is about giving. New members are moderated until they demonstrate
they know and will follow the rules. Many "wanted" posts
will not make it to the list.
My call as moderator.
"Wanted" posts are limited to one per month
per member unless accompanied
by a simultaneous offer. First posts to the site are to be offers.
Many members
are prompted to participate when they see "wanted" posts. Said
posts contribute
to the growth of this site. "Wanted" posts
generate more "offers."
That said, please remember the purpose of the site is to prevent landfills
being filled with
recyclable items. Please keep the goal of the group in mind
at all times.
